I have had my MacBook Pro 13"" for a few months & I spotted that I needed to protect Apple macbook pro specs against scratches & other damage. I debated between this case (cover) & ones made by MCover, another popular manufacturer, which sells covers on this site.

GREEN mCover® Hard Shell Case for 13-inch aluminum A1278 MacBook Pro (13.3-inch diagonal screen, Black Keyboard)

The MCover products are less expensive & come in beautiful colors (the green looks yummy) that called out to me, but I ultimately bought this Speck cover because the comments indicated that Apple macbook pro specs fit well & better than its competitor. The case arrived promptly (thanks, Prime!) & surpasses my expectations. The purple is an elegant, deep shade, & the Apple logo shines through as a lighter lavender color. pretty. The fit is ideal. Putting the case on took about 15 seconds \.\.. brush off the Mac & pop on the bottom part of the case & then the top part. No additional parts to worry with. I haven't noticed the additional ounces added by the case to the weight of the computer.
